DUBAI

Experience the glamour of Arabia with AG Holidays to the glittering urban oasis of Dubai.

Whiter-than-white beaches, heady skyscrapers, flashy bars, and luxury hotels. Where else could you drink tea in a desert tent and gaze out from the world’s tallest building in the same day? This is a city that has it all and where extravagance is the norm.

You will find luxury wherever you turn in Dubai, in the fleets of Ferrari’s and Lamborghini’s that occupy the superhighways, the seven-figure yachts in the bay to the ‘7-star’ dubbed hotel, Burj Al Arab. But you will find that Dubai – for all its glitz and glamour – is perfectly complemented by its unique blend of tradition and culture in the form of its picturesque mosques, spice-filled souks, and historical old-town districts.

At AG Holidays, we’ll help you soak up every inch this ambitious destination has to offer. Speak with one of our personal travel experts today and begin planning your journey to this Arabian city of superlatives.

TRIP HIGHLIGHTS

Burj Khalifa
Slicing through the sky at 828m tall, the Burj Khalifa is the world’s tallest building. The futuristic skyscraper has become a potent symbol of Dubai’s aspirations and ambitions as a global destination. The dizzyingly tall structure made of 28,000 glass panels also lays claim to having the highest outdoor observation deck in the world. A visit up to the top should be high on your list of things to do during your stay.

Shopping
Shopping at one of Dubai’s many malls has become a staple part of the city’s lifestyle and culture. But the malls are more than just a place for the rich to splash their cash at designer outlets – they are where locals come to socialise and unwind. With an impressive selection of restaurants and cafes, an indoor theme park, aquarium, and genuine dinosaur skeleton – it’s easy to see why.

Al Fahidi District
Visit the historic district of Al Fahidi for a real sense of traditional Middle Eastern culture and architecture. This restored area of Bur Dubai is composed of quiet lanes and cool courtyards littered with craft shops, art galleries, guesthouses, and cafes serving local delicacies such as camel milk smoothies. Guided tours of the quarter are available through the Sheikh Mohammed Cultural Centre and are worth the money.

Desert Escapes
Escape the concrete jungle of Dubai on a day excursion to the Arabian desert. Take your pick from camel treks and sandboarding to overnight safaris and 4WD drives across magnificent undulating sand dunes. Or, explore this mystical environment on your own schedule with an overnight stay in a desert resort.

Nightlife
Dubai’s choice of rooftop bars, beachfront lounges, live music venues, and speakeasy-style clubs means there is something for everyone when it comes to nightlife. However, nothing quite tops White Dubai – the mega-club that sits nestled in Meydan Racecourse Grandstand Rooftop. Ranked 15th Best Club in the world by DJ Mag, White Dubai is the ultimate chic playground for upscale partygoers.

Best Time to Visit
The UAE’s subtropical climate means that skies are blue and rain rare for most of the time. The best time to visit is between November to April when temperatures are in the mid-20s – perfect for sunbathing, sightseeing, and outdoor activities. Tourists do still travel during the summer months; however, be prepared for sizzling heats of up to 45 degrees Celsius and for most outdoor activities to be closed due to the heat.
